A DumpDorrell reader who was at the game Saturday wearing his Save Football Dump Dorrell tshirt had a couple of interesting things happen to him. We will let Michael tell you in his own words (minor editing): read more

Monday Roundup
We have a game this week against a top 10 team, and by the looks of it no one cares. As with the Notre Dame game, interest is muted. Not many in college football are paying attention to our football team. As someone pointed out on one of the boards, had we simply beat patsies Utah and Notre Dame we would be headed for a top 10 showdown with Cal at the Rose Bowl that would most surely be College Gameday’s Game of the Week. The interest that would have generated would have brought millions to UCLA in additional revenues in game receipts and an increase in emblematic merchandise sales, as we should expect. Thanks to Karl Dorrell UCLA our athletic programs, our fans, and our student athletes lose out again. Mediocrity doesn’t pay!
Morgan Center all year told us that the Notre Dame game was sold out … we called their bluff and sure enough only 75,000 people showed. Lets see, 20,000 fewer people at $100 per total receipts … that’s $2 million. Now we are hearing on some of the boards that the Cal game is sold out. We don’t believe it, despite the huge number of Cal grads in the area. It will probably be another 75,000. Had we won the easy games we were supposed to win, instead of getting crushed, we would have most likely sold out the Rose Bowl for Cal or come very close to it. That’s another $2 million. Add the 2 games and you are looking at a loss of roughly $4 million (and that’s if all those attendees at Notre Dame actually paid … we know that Morgan Center gives out hoards of free tickets to kids and veterans to boost attendance figures). Someone explain to us why we can’t afford a good coach?! Again, this Commitment to Mediocrity doesn’t pay!
We will get to our own notes on Cal later this week. We are busy getting info on the billboard, getting the graphics for the new DumpDorrell tshirt finalized, and in keeping the message out there in the media. We are mailing the classic Save Football Dump Dorrell tshirts tonight so if you want yours by the Cal game you have to get your order in today!! We are not making any more of these classic tshirts so get them before we run out. Next up, tonight we are going to be on a taped radio program, CFB Weekly on the Porcupine Radio Network (an online radio show), talking about getting a new coach. Look for the podcast of the interview on their site later in the week. Finally, The Bruin Show will be back on Wednesday at 6 pm. We probably will have Cal bloggers on this week to join us. Get your smack on and put it on your calendar to listen and call in. One more thing … there is no line yet on the game as it appears the decision on whether Cal QB Nate Longshore will play comes tomorrow and apparently Heismann candidate WR DeSean Jackson is questionable.

DumpDorrell On National Syndicated Radio Show Tonight 10:20 PDT
As we mentioned earlier in the week, one of our editors will be on nationally syndicated radio program, Sports Overnight America, at 10:20 pm PDT for 20 minutes. It’s late but if you are up and in one of the 50 markets that Sports Overnight is distributed to then have a listen and call in. Also, you can simply listen to the broadcast LIVE online by clicking the “Listen Live” icon. Finally, this show will be heard on Armed Forces Radio Network. So all you soldiers out there all over the world figure out what time 10:20 PDT is in your part of the world and have a listen. If you know a Bruin fan in the armed forces email them this post. We at DD have a special message for our soldiers, so they’ll want to be listening for it. Again, they will be taking callers during our interview so if you have some burning question or some smack you need to let out make that call.
In other news, just in case you didn’t know, we have some classic Save Football Dump Dorrell t-shirts left, although we are sold out in some size/color combinations. Get your order in for the Cal game by next Tuesday! The “We’re #4!” billboard idea is gaining ground and we have pledges of $600 so far, although we have yet to actually greenlight the idea. Nestor at BruinsNation had us post the idea at BruinsNation.com to gauge interest there as well. If we get a decent amount of interest then we may just go ahead with it.

You Can Now Buy Dump Dorrell Tshirts!!
Ok, we finally figured it out. Thank you for your patience. You can now buy the classic Save Football Dump Dorrell tshirts. There are only a limited number so its first come first served.
The 4-finger foam finger mitts will be available next week. Unfortunately the manufacturer called us back to tell us that they couldn’t do the express delivery they had said they would because they are overloaded with orders of other things. We have a ship date to us of Thursday, October 18. So we will not be able to ship them out to you in time for the Cal game. So, we will have someone at the Cal game in the parking lot selling the foam fingers and tshirts, if we have any left. Look for details next week.
The new “We’re #4!” tshirts might not be available in time for Cal, but they will be for our next home game against ASU November 10. We are also checking into the billboard costs and a donation system. Things are moving.
Finally, we will be on a nationally syndicated sports radio show on Friday night at 10:20 pm for 20 minutes. Listen or call in, this is about getting the message out there far and wide. They will be taking callers in 50 markets across the country and Armed Forces Network all over the world. Any soldiers out there that want to check in and lay down your smack we would love to have you on the program, or at least listening in. We will have a special message for those soldiers who listen in. More details later.

ESPN Radio Interview + Updated Info
Our editor just finished his interview with Steve Mason & John Ireland of The Big Show on ESPN Radio 710. There may be a podcast available of the interview later here. Mason & Ireland seemed to be pushing The Mason Plan again, which if you didn't know involves firing Karl Dorrell now and making DC DeWayne Walker interim head coach. Mason then refined his plan to make it retroactive to the Utah game, meaning Karl Dorrell would have to return his salary he received from that point on. Good stuff. They also liked the We're #4 slogan and campaign. Listen to the interview if you get the chance.
We are tying to get the shop up on our site to get you t-shirts and "We're #4!" foam finger mitts (example right). It's not as easy as it may seem. We work full-time and started this site on a lark (now we run it because we feel a responsibility to YOU the bruin faithful), but read more

Dump Dorrell T-shirts - Update
We just heard from the manufacturer. There are some Save Football Dump Dorrell t-shirts left. We expect to get a count tomorrow. We will have them ready to purchase on our site in the next couple of days. It will be first come first served. Be on the lookout (sign up for our daily email - top right of our site, and be sure you complete the activation process - or our RSS feed to keep informed).
As we said before, the new Dump Dorrell campaign we have planned will include new t-shirt designs, but like the campaign, we will not make them available until after Dorrell loses 1 Pac-10 conference game (unless it's only SuC at the end of the season). Obviously we dont have any confidence in Karl and predict that he will lose soon enough but we will not order the t-shirts until that happens - we don't want to get stuck with a bunch of shirts.
The classic "Save Football Dump Dorrell" t-shirt we made last year is great and we consider it a collector's item because they will not be made again. So, if you get your hands on one great. The new designs follow the message of the new campaign. And there will be more than just t-shirts involved. The theme is comical because the sole idea is to get wide attention, national attention, so that we can apply the broadest pressure on Guerrero to fire Karl Dorrell. All our efforts are made with that end goal in mind. We don't want to be here yet another year suffering another .500 season trying to make that happen again.

Dump Dorrell T-shirts
Many of you have been asking and emailing us about Dump Dorrell t-shirts. Early next week our manufacturer will be back from a honeymoon and will let us know if he has any Save Football Dump Dorrell shirts left (the ones you see to the left) from last season. He thinks he might have some … if he does we will make them available ASAP on this site.
The new Dump Dorrell campaign we have planned will include new t-shirt designs, but like the campaign, we will not make them available until after Dorrell loses 1 Pac-10 conference game (unless read more

Gameweek Oregon State: Reality Settling In
Editors note: Tshirts are finally available here. Update: We will be sending staff to Westwood with tshirts Saturday morning and the Rose Bowl before the game so that you can have them for the OSU game. Details later. There is a limited edition of 200 tshirts first run so those who purchase them will get theirs first, obviously. If you want to ensure you get one, then purchase one online and then contact us to let us know you’d rather pick one up if we do this. For those who have already purchased tshirts check your email for details. The Dump Dorrell petition is closing in on 600 signatures after the first 6 days and is getting national attention. Email it to everyone you know.
The reality of another awful season and KD’s failed tenure as coach is settling in. In addition to the increased calls for firing Karl Dorrell and the national attention those efforts are getting, Morgan Center is out there profiling KD in new ways to the press. After 4 straight losses and three subpar seasons in four, they have to repair his image. Check out this bit of fluff the LA Times is putting out as a response to all the obvious criticism … “KD The Thinker!” Ridiculous. Morgan Center even made KD’s wife available and the LAT uses her like a political ad. What a bunch of tripe! Why not profile KD’s abysmal record?! For an $850,000 a year (+ $550,000 incentives) salaried public official, shouldn’t KD be judged on his achievements, not his demeanor at home?! It’s called pandering, and the LA Times is a master at it.
Let’s move onto this week’s game. Oregon State brings its surprising team to the Rose Bowl sitting in third place in the Pac-10 at 6-3. They need one more win to be bowl eligible (they have a 13 game schedule) just like Washington State did when they came to town. Coming off a stunning upset of Southern Cal and a blowout of Arizona State, OSU is riding high and touching the top 25. read more
