So, it's official. All the gamesmanship, posturing and rumor-mongering can finally end. The biggest pieces are in place, the biggest and bitter questions resolved. There are conflicting reports but SuC players drenched Ken Norton Jr. yesterday at the Rose Bowl, which kind of backs up ABC's report during the game that Rick Neuheisel hired Ken Norton Jr. to be on his staff. The obvious question is in what capacity?? Defensive Coordinator, as ABC suggested?? It would be hard to believe that the ink is dry on such a deal when the LAT is reporting that Neu will be meeting with DeWayne Walker this morning about the DC position. Obviously, if Walker stays because Rick wants him to and they can come to an agreement then great. If he doesn't stay then thank you and good luck.

In case there was any doubt Rick Neuheisel dreamed of the job he now has, Jill Painter Daily News reports the following:
Rick Neuheisel is back in Los Angeles coaching his alma mater. He was coach at Colorado and Washington before a two-year stint at a Seattle high school and a three-year stint with the Baltimore Ravens. He wants to retire a Bruin.
“Hopefully, this is the last coaching job I'll have,'' Neuheisel said.
Does anyone think any other potential candidate would have said that?? We are lucky … we have 2 head coaches of our big-time programs in basketball and now football who both have their dream jobs. Hallelujah!! Go Bruins!!
