We have seen two Karl Dorrell’s this season, the one we here at DD, and others, have hit hard before the season with his ill-suited claims of championships and during the season for his numerous coaching faults, OR, the Karl Dorrell that gutted out an epic win over Southern Cal during a gut-check and “job-saving” winning streak to end a horrible season, with the offense barely holding up. No, Svoboda hasn’t been fired, its a hypothetical towards the end of this post. There is good news for our team regarding the Emerald Bowl however. Brian Dohn reports that Florida State head coach Bobby Bowden announced his much maligned offensive coordinator and son Jeff Bowden will be calling the offensive plays for the team during the game. Florida State boosters forced Bobby to fire his own son prior to the end of this season already due to his ineffectiveness … it’s a tough gig even for legends.
