Phil Steele: UCLA #21 Nationally, #3 In The Pac-10
Just a quick post. As many have noted across the boards for some time, Phil Steele released his college football preview earlier this Summer. Steele has many sets of rankings based on a number of criteria. His Power Rankings has UCLA #2 in the Pac-10, behind SuC and ahead of Cal and Oregon. Steele says this power ranking closely resembles his overall national rankings, in which he has UCLA ranked #21 nationally, behind #18 Oregon and #1 SuC. We have not got our hands on a copy of his magazine (he might have Cal in the top 10 and we don’t know yet) but when we do we will pass along any notes. Some of you may have heard Phil Steele last night on EDSBS’s live radio broadcast, which by all accounts was mind-blowing. One of our editors was there for the start, you may have seen him on the live chat, and may be a caller on the show in the future, so look for that.
