Update On Wristen’s Resignation
There are a few stories circulating the boards about TE/ST coach John Wristen’s resignation yesterday. Brian Dohn, of the LA Daily News provided some background info that clears up some of the confusion the ridiculous press release caused.

Wristen has been trying to leave since the end of the season, but couldn’t find a job. He didn’t like it here in L.A., which is why he never moved his family out here. I always thought it was peculiar his family remained in Colorado, but I will not say finances were the reason. After all, he still had to afford a place here, and keep his family at a place in Colorado.
So it looks as though Wristen was going to leave long ago, just as we thought. It could very well be that he didn’t like LA … but we still think that even if he loved LA he would not have his job before the season started. We are sure you are all scratching your heads like we are wondering how this great hire of Dorrell’s can’t find a job … anywhere. Nice hire there KD. Maybe Wristen never moved his family here because … well … he liked to beat his wife and kid. Some on the boards suggested that finances were the reason for Wristen’s departure … Brian Dohn basically puts that rumor to rest. All in all, even though we don’t have complete information, it’s clear that this is a bad situation and something Dorrell really doesn’t have the time or experience to fix.
