How Low Can You Go? Kiffin New Raiders Coach!
What’s that joke … how do you teach a Raider kid to count to 16? 0-1, 0-2, 0-3, 0-4 …. Al Davis has not found the bottom of the barrel yet apparently. But he is doing a fine job looking. Today, after embarrassingly being turned down for the head coaching job by 32 year-old USC assistant Steve Sarkisian, Davis scrambled to hire his compatriot 31 year-old USC OC Lane Kiffin - the same OC that choked against Texas AND UCLA in successive years at the Rose Bowl with all that talent they had. Nevermind, commitment to whiskey excellence right?! Trojan nation is overjoyed with this loss Kiffin getting his shot at NFL stardom.
The more this happens the better it is for Bruin Nation. Kiffin hopefully will win a couple of games no one expects him to win and the “give the coach time” excuse will live strongly for at least a year more. That will be enough time for other NFL owners to give Dorrell a shot. Dorrell must be seething … “Kiffin?! Kiffin?! I beat that little kid!” Ha! This is too much. Apologies to all Bruin fans who are Raiders.

As Dallas goes about its business looking for a new coach, I happen to know a HC at the college level who has 4 years of experience, doesn’t mind working with a control freak owner (he might even remember the Bdays of that owner and his family), and would appreciate the chance to coach at the highest level. This same HC did coach in the pros as well. We need to promote this opportunity while the iron is hot!!!
