2007 Pre-Season Rankings Out: UCLA Irrelevant
Some sports organizations are already coming out with their pre-season rankings for the 2007 football season. Yeah, hard to believe. Thanks to trainwreck at BruinsNation, Rivals.com’s Bob McClellan put this list out:
- USC
- Michigan
- LSU
- West Virginia
- Florida
- Ohio State
- Virginia Tech
- Oklahoma
- Texas
- Wisconsin
- Louisville
- Georgia
- Nebraska
- Auburn
- California
- Arkansas
- Tennessee
- Penn State
- Rutgers
- Florida State
- Texas A&M
- Notre Dame
- Hawaii
- Boston College
- Clemson
Others receiving votes:
Wake Forest, UCLA, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Oklahoma State, Maryland, South Florida, South Carolina, Oregon, Alabama, Miami (FL), TCU, Boise State, Missouri
Well, we received votes. If any other coach during UCLA’s post WW2 history would have had this team coming back for the easier schedule we have next year, we would have been ranked in the top 25. With Karl Dorrell, the disrespect just continues. Rivals.com by the way correctly predicted that we would finish the 2006 season ranked #4 in the conference. Not bad.
There will be some pre-season rankings that will put UCLA in the top 25 no doubt. Just don’t expect many, especially if KD takes over the OC position.
