Petition Goes To Dan Guerrero Today

The petition to Dump Dorrell will be sent to Dan Guerrero later today. You still have time to send it to your Bruin friends at work, across the country, anywhere. After the petition is sent we will close the petition, meaning no more signatures will be accepted but you will still be able to view it. We are nearly at 850 signatures so lets get that last push on.

If you are having trouble convincing loyal Bruins, have them consider this: right about now Karl Dorrell is most likely scheduling meetings with his assistants so that he can tell some of them, “You’re Fired!” Hard to imagine that Dorrell would be so impatient with all the assistants he’s let go over the 4 years he’s been head coach, and with the patience Dan Guerrero is giving him, and with his own constant reminders during press conferences that he is “growing” and “learning.” Remember, former OC Steve Axman wasn’t given much of a chance to “grow” and was summarily fired by Dorrell after only his first season. Now, most likely Dorrell will do the same to first year OC Jim Svoboda and first year OL coach Jim Colletto. Why doesn’t Dorrell hold himself to the same standard? Why doesn’t Dan Guerrero?

Dan Guerrero needs to do the right thing and fire Dorrell. Next year is an opportunity to be excellent that only a great coach can fully realize. A mediocre coach like Dorrell will squander that opportunity, like he has every year he has been head coach. We members of Bruin Nation have made a great effort to unite our voices to let Dan Guerrero know that we want for our football program what we want for all things UCLA, excellence. We are sending our message of support to Dan Guerrero to move the program in the right direction and fire Karl Dorrell. Today is a great day to be a Bruin.
