NFL’s Green & Mora Fired, Minnesota’s Mason Fired After Bowl Loss
More coaching changes. In what was a forgone conclusion, Dennis Green has been booted at Arizona, paving the way for Pom Pom Pete Carroll to take over … hopefully. It would be a mistake for Pete, but experience is an expensive school and fools will learn in no other.
The Atlanta Falcons fired Jim Mora, another forgone conclusion. You may recall Jim saying publicly he wanted the Washington Husky job that Ty Willingham has and doing so in the middle of a playoff run for the Falcons. The question then becomes what happens with Falcon OL coach Jim Cable, our former “great” OC who jumped ship last year once he had the chance to. Does he leave Atlanta? Does he come back for one glory year?? Is our evil plot to dominate college football next year still alive??? We shall see …
Finally, in what is yet another great example of an AD taking charge and getting rid of a mediocre coach, the University of Minnesota fired head coach Glen Mason. BruinEd at BruinsNation covers this very well. Dan Guerrero is being made to look like a chump by ASU, Alabama, Miami, and now Minnesota ADs. Don’t let it happen Dan!! Sign the petition everyone … we are sending it to Dan next Monday!!
