Toledo Back In Business at Tulane; Koetter to Miami as OC??
By now many of you have heard about Bob Toledo getting back to the top, sort of. Toledo has accepted the head coaching position at Tulane, the hurricane Katrina ravaged program that went 4-8 this year under fired 8-year coach Chris Scelfo. Toledo only recently got back to coaching after being fired by Dan Guerrero after the 2002 season. He was offensive coordinator for the New Mexico Lobos, who went 6-6 this season. Toledo helped guide New Mexico to its first post-season appearance since 1990. Congrats to Bob and we wish him the best of luck.
The word on the boards for days now has fired Arizona State coach Dirk Koetter being hired by newly promoted Miami head coach Randy Shannon. There is excitement in Miami nation at the prospect as they believe that Koetter has a wide open offense to complement Shannon’s defensive skills. Who knows, could work out. Let’s hope it doesn’t!
